EE: Oh my God. (Laughter) I don't think everything has to be new all the time. You don't have to have the latest designer all the time to look good. Just have things you're comfortable with, have key pieces that you can sort of, reinvent over and over again, and always keep things that you really love for a while. I have been a fan of her blog for quite sometime and mentioned it in my interview with Hi-Styley as one of my top 3 sites I visit. She schooled me on Neneh Cherry and other musical greats i'm getting hip too and also what I don't and should know about Sweden (SO INTERESTING) and we even made some rounds to some cool L.A shopping joints. Thanks so much for the wonderful 2faced1 & WESC colabo T-shirt - I am wearing it in the pic below. I think I learned one thing about myself from Decida is that I actually may be OAKLAND+TOKYO but she is right that I may have a SWEDISH state of mind. This chance meeting was one enlightening experience!

If anyone really knows me, they know that Leonard of Paris is my holy grail of vintage. I have 3 dresses I cherish and they will never leave my sights and I have used some pieces in my styling! My dad went to Paris when I was younger and he always wore the Leonard of Paris cologne, so one day long ago I went to a thrift store and came across this beautiful dress and I had no clue who the designer was and I showed my parents thinking they would know because I thought it was so cool! They both were like "OH THATS LEONARD OF PARIS! WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!" and they told me more about it. I have been a fan since. Here are some pics of one that I was trying to sell on Ebay... Love this one..

I am pretty obsessed with finding the perfect product for my curls since I like to go all natural. I go through shampoo like a mo'fo (as my sister Jessica would say LOL) and no lie it is hard to find good products especially when my hair turns into dreads unattended faster than a Humbolt county stoner. Not cute. I came across this shampoo at my local grocery store and I got completly hooked. It's the Loreal Vive Pro for very dry damaged hair. Just got my second bottle tonight (with the conditioner which I have yet to try) and it was on sale at CVS at a steal! 2 for 5 dinero. And not to mention the smell is divine.

I just went through a tub (yes a whole tub - don't judge me!) of this amazing Eco Styler Olive Oil hair gel, thanks to my lil sister Shamira's recommendation. I will be getting another one shortly. It not only smooths my hair with out the crackling hard effects of the infamous brown gel - (Please see/reference Coochiness on Youtube) but this mess only cost's 2.99! Thank you for being friendly on my wallet and for actually being a great product all at the same time :D

And Cantus Leave in- Conditioning cream works wonders! You can get it at Target, cheap and really works great.

This past weekend I dressed the Catt as she was hosting the Cosmo Magazine Fun Fearless Male awards in NYC. We decided she should wear this really sexy, easy and fun red number by one of my favorite designers Sena NYC. It was also a great match since she was going to be in NYC for her to wear a NYC designer! She has a great body and can pull this dress off with grace, and the color was gorgeous against her dark hair! I think the key to doing a really sexy look is comfort, the more comfortable the outfit the more effortless the energy is from the person who is wearing it. :)

Her white gold hoops were provided by the amazing Roseark Boutique and her hot silver metal plate shoes were by Giueseppe Zanotti Design. My favorite thing about Sena is how easy and interesting their pieces are, I love the geometric details in the cut outs which added a great aesthetic on camera as well.

I had the pleasure of styling the beautiful Catt Sadler for the live Oscars pre-show on E!

It was really a fun event with tons of characters. We agreed on this really interesting Oday Shakar number, it is black sequence with white and bronze paint all over. I loved this gown because it accentuated Catt's figure and the plunge neckline was perfect with the long sleeves. (Plus it was cold and rainy out!) I paired it with M.C.L earrings and ring. The stackables were provided by Roseark Boutique in Hollywood.Her shoes are by Giueseppe Zanotti. Makeup by the talented Catalina Su, Hair by Christian Marc and Photography by Brandon Hickman.

a Film bY Prince has left me confused, bewildered and amused which is nice after a bad day. I had no clue about this film until it showed up on Netflix. I truly think Prince is the first socially accepted transgender bending artist who still has us convinced he has only one gender. I can't get with a dude wearing a chandelier embroidered head scarf and perfectly sculpted eyebrows who seduces a woman using his best Tyra eyes and a smoky Revlon trio smoldering around his lids. Prince has stolen my soul with his lip quiver bite back action, curly cues and jacquard two piece with side cleavage, tramp stamp viewer and chesties. I love this man, as he has bamboozled the realms and boundaries of what sexuality truly is and is laughing all the way to the bank. I don't know how you do it Prince but you are the master . This movie is like a crack pipe made out of a NC42 studio fix and a retractable M.A.C eyebrow pencil. Thank you Prince for letting us into your world.

Whew! Been a busy week but I wanted to share the work I did with the beautiful Catt Sadler and the E! Glam Squad - Catalina Su for Makeup and Melissa Brown on hair. on Jan the 16th. It was my bday that sunday but I wouldn't have spent it any other way! I put Catt in a beautiful Carlos Miele gown, Vhernier diamond earrings & some amazing stack able from Roseark.com, also her shoes were Giuseppe Zanotti. Never long enough but short & sweet. I had a great weekend, my boo took me to a delish brunch with his friends who are all some of the most amazing chefs! It was over in Venice the good hood. It was really inspiring to be around people so passionate about food.
